A study in the Journal of the American Heart Association on marijuana use has revealed that daily use elevates one's risk of cardiovascular problems.

Researchers looked at data from 430,000 people from 2016 and 2020 and found those who use marijuana regularly have a 42% higher risk of stoke and 25% higher risk of heart attack.

The findings showed that those increase risks can also come from vaping marijuana and ingesting edibles.

Doctors say smoking and vaping can also impact blood vessels, heart and lungs.

The American Heart Association says the number of people using marijuana has significantly increased in recent years, especially as more states continue to legalize recreational marijuana.
